Jesus at The Lake

This June, as school fades away and temperatures rise, our thoughts might turn to the lake. It’s time for swimming, fishing, boating, and losing all our cares in cool, refreshing lake water. So, for our June sermon series, we’re heading to the Lake with Jesus—or at least bringing stories of the lake to us. Much of Jesus’ ministry happened around the Sea of Galilee, a freshwater lake, about 17 miles in circumference, formed by the melted snow of Mt. Hermon flowing into it through the Jordan River. That lake gave life to the whole region of the Galilee and this June we’ll look to those stories to enliven our faith and renew our calling to be an Open Place for ALL to Worship, Grow, and Serve. We hope you’ll come walk by the waters with Jesus, and maybe on them, as we continue to strive for a world where all are welcomed, affirmed, and honored. As we worship this month, may we renew our call to share God’s love with all of creation.
